This section of the toolkit will help you calculate your household´s water consumption.
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs vision is for a daily average per capita water consumption of 130 litres by 2030 (Future Water: The Government’s water strategy for England)-perhaps your household could aim to use 130 litres per person per day?
Once you have completed this, you will be given handy tips to help you reduce your water use even further. If you are on a water meter this will also help you save money on your water bills.
On the following pages, please answer the questions by clicking on the option, or entering figures, that are most appropriate for your household. Then click ‘Next’ after each section to go to the next page.
Saving water also saves energy, so any hot water savings you make will also contribute to you reducing your fuel bills.
