Welcome to the Retrofitting Water Calculator

This section of the Toolkit has been designed for organisations that are considering implementing a retrofitting programme for water and energy efficiency. It provides information on water saving devices in the home that can be used to retrofit traditional devices.

Calculations given in this toolkit aim to provide an idea of all savings and costs associated with retrofitting, however, these will vary depending on individual properties and householder behaviour.

Click on any checkbox button to view information on water saving devices, along with their water and energy savings, approximate purchase costs and potential financial savings to the householder.

You can click on any number of checkboxes to find out the accumulative costs and savings for those devices. The totals will be displayed at the top of the page. Savings for individual products will be displayed in this area.

Click ‘clear selection’ after each search to start a new search.

Please see below for assumptions that the calculations of water and energy savings, cost of purchase, potential financial savings to the householder are based on*.
